First to Five: The Story of the First All-Women Board of Supervisors

For more than 100 years, the Los Angeles County Board of Supervisors was run primarily by five men. The election of November 2020 marked a significant turning point in the make-up of the Board when for the first time five females took up the reins. Through their personal stories, the trailblazing first all-women Board share their stories and understanding of what’s currently at stake for Los Angeles County constituents, along with the challenges they have faced in each of their political careers.
